"His treatment and attention second to none."
A general consultation offers an opportunity for patients to discuss health-related issues without having to have a physical exam. Often, you may have questions about a health-related issue in your life or the life of a loved one for which you would like to have a skilled opinion or qualified input. A general consultation provides an opportunity for open discussion so you can feel more confident about health decisions or issues that are affecting you. A consultation is also a good time to discuss mental health issues like depression, problems with alcohol or drug use or family issues.
In most cases, a consultation is strictly for conversation and discussion. For instance, for patients, a general consultation can be for just about any health-related purpose, including initial visits where you'd like to get to know Dr. Leitner. Consultations can also be helpful for discussing general health concerns as well as discussing potential treatment options or procedures that another doctor may have recommended. Consultations may also be made between doctors to help ensure a patient's entire health history is being considered during diagnosis or treatment.
Unlike routine physicals and health screenings that follow specific recommended guidelines, general consultations can occur at any time, whenever and as often as you need them. Because the consultation is more or less about information sharing and gathering, you can schedule a consultation as often as you feel necessary.
